I am a California Girl lost in the woods of West Virginia. I am here studying Secondary Education, Social Studies. I love history and love to share my knowledge with others; so becoming a teacher is the perfect profession for me. My concentration is The Civil War and Early American History. I would love to teach on the high school level.
You may not be able to tell by my blog title, but I am a twin, and my title is the Cherokee word for Twin I have an identical twin sister and were are of Cherokee Indian decent and are very proud of it. My back ground is of the Cherokee Rose. It is said that the woman of the Cherokees during the Trail of Tears cried and where there tears fell a flower bloomed, (ie Cherokee Rose).

I really love that you're a twin and the whole Cherokee story. It's really interesting. I wouldn't be able to tell you were a twin by your blog title, but with the information you have given, it tells us a story. I like it!
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy history. I've considered becoming a Social Studies teacher as well, but I prefer the young ones. :)
I really like your background very colorful and pretty. i am cherokee indian decent to i even know my ancestors names.
ReplyDeleteWest Virginia's not so bad though...these mountains will bring out another side of you. Twin's are cool though, I'm one myself and got a lot of Cherokee in my background too. I just don't know my history as well as you.
